Võro is a language which declines its nouns into 13 cases. (A further three cases also exist which are rarely used in Võro). The cases have many uses often showing direction. The majority of the cases, like Estonian, are built off the Genitive of the noun.

Abessive -ldaq or -ldäq2 küläldäq `hambaldaq külildäq `hambildaq (hammastõldaq)
Comitative -gaq3 külägaq `hambagaq küligaq `hambigaq (hammastõgaq)

Unproductive Cases

Võro also has three unproductive cases. These are the Essive case, the Instructive case and the Prolative case. These cases are rarely used today and new words do not have these forms created.
