An Introduction to the Language
Udmurt, also known as Votyak, is a Finno-Permic language related to Komi and other local languages. Like other Finnic languages it is agglutinating, but does not have vowel harmony, nor does it distinguish between short and long vowels. It is written with a variant of the cyrillic script.
