An Introduction to the Language

Japanese is one of the largest languages in existence as well as, arguably, one of the hardest to learn to read. The Japanese language's origins are not exactly known, but we do know that it's writing system was heavily influenced by Chinese. As a result, after many reforms and many alterations to the Chinese Hanzi script, Japanese came out with three scripts - hence why it is considered a very difficult language to learn to read.

In the 20th century, the Japanese language as a foreign language has gained huge popularity through popular culture and media such as manga and anime, despite the struggle a learner goes through to learn it.
