Inuktitut distinguishes not just plural, but dual and plural. There are personal endings for dual and plural (see the verbs page) as well as endings for nouns themselves.

Dual endings
Dual endings change their form depending on the final consonant.
Vowel endings
If a word ends in a vowel, double the vowel and add k.
Examples:
- ᓄᕗᔭ - nuvuja - cloud
ᓄᕗᔭ˙ᒃ - nuvujaak - two clouds
T endings
If a word ends in a t, add iik.
Examples:
- ᐅᖃ˙ᓚᐅᑦ - uqaalaut - telephone
ᐅᖃ˙ᓚᐅᑎ˙ᒃ - uqaalautiik - two telephones
Other endings
If a word ends in any other consonant, drop the last consonant, double the last vowel and add k.
Examples:
- ᓇᓴᖅ - nasaq - hat
ᓇᓴ˙ᒃ - nasaak - two hats
