An Introduction to the Language
Inuktitut and it's relatives, collectively known as the Inuit languages (or, altogether with some other more distant relatives, Eskimo languages) are used along the northern rim of Canada, Alaska, and Greenland. There are a number of different dialects and variations of these languages in this region. Some, such as Inuktitut and Kalaallisut, are more closely related. These languages are polysynthetic in nature. This means that several different affixes are used to form meaning in sentences. A large amount of the time sentences can be expressed using very few, sometimes even just one word.
