Verbs in Georgian, just like everything else, are formed from a bunch of tiny parts that are connected together to give meaning. There are a few things about Georgian verbs that are unique.

  • Inanimate objects don't tend to lend their plurality to verbs
  • Some verbs change their root depending on whether the subject of the intransitive verb or the object of the transitive verb is singular or plural.
