Counting
The Estonian cardinal numbers 1-10 are: üks, kaks, kolm, neli, viis, kuus, seitse, kaheksa, uheksa, kümme.
Numbers 11-19 are made by adding -teist to the end of the other numbers. This works much like -teen in English. The numbers are: üksteist, kaksteist, kolmteist, neliteist, viisteist, kuusteist, seitseteist, kaheksateist, üheksateist.
The numbers above 20 in tens (30, 40, 50 etc) are formed by adding the suffix -kümmend to the end. This works much like -ty in English. For example: 'kakskümmend is 20; viiskümmend is 50 etc.
To form numbers between the ones above, you just place the "ones" value after it. 21 would be kakskümmend üks; 64 would be kuuskümmend neli etc.
Numbers above 100 work the same. 100 is (üks)sada. 758 would be seitsesada viiskümmend kaheksa etc.
1000 is tuhat, so 6296 would be kuustuhat kakssada üheksakümmend kuus
Quantification
When counting object, like in English, the numbers go before the object they quanify. However, after the number 2 (kaks) the noun must be in partitive singular (NOT plural).
Examples:
- Mul on kaks autotauto.PART. I have two cars
