Introduction

Nezaulodh (Nezauloð natively or Νεζαυλοδ alternatively) is a conlang created by Jaakuuta in February 2010. The original language was half agglutinating and isolating in nature and had 20 letters. It is based on old Nithalos and uses a modified version of the Greek alphabet.

Family

Nezauloð belongs to the Western branch of the Netherdze sub-family.

  •  Acrya-gausian
    • Netherdze
      •  Western Netherdze
        • Nezauloð

It has one sister language which is extinct: Anðralost which also belongs to the Western branch of Netherdze.

Allophony

You will notice that a few letters have similar pronunciations that differ slightly. This is due to dialectical variation. Some pronounce it slightly different than others, but each one works.

Nominal Morphology

Nouns can be one of the six main cases: Nominative, Accusative, Genitive, Dative, Instrumental, and Locative. Locative is a special form in that it is the only one formed with a prefix rather than a suffix and is usually irregular as it tends to distort the word it affects.

Genitive

The Genitive is usually formed by simply placing the suffix -ja on the end of any noun.

Dative

The dative is usually formed with an -em ending.

Accusative

This one tends to vary, it can either be an -a, a -i, or no ending.

Locative

The locative tends to distort the word it goes with by prefixing it with something like he-.

Particles

Below is a list of particles with an example provided in Nezauloð. Please note that in Old Nithalos, if the noun ended with a vowel, the short version was used (yik instead of ïk, yim instead of ïm etc). Please also note, that the Japanese particle or equivalent is also provided for comparison
